This past weekend my family and I went on a weekend trip to New York City, one of my favorite places, to see Hamilton for my sisters birthday!

Hotel: For this trip we stayed at the West House Hotel. It is a lovely boutique style hotel and has a great location. It was super close to Central Park, 5th Avenue, and Times square. The hotel was also very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were also really good sizes which is usually uncommon for the city!

Food: Instead of eating at our hotel or grabbing something we made reservations and loved the places we ate. The first night we went to Gallagher’s steakhouse which was super good and nothing we ordered was bad! The 2nd night we went to Smith and Wollensky’s which was just as good and we couldn’t pick a favorite. The only problem is to make sure you get reservations because it is very hard just to walk in and eat.

Shopping: As most people know there are so many places to shop in New York city! We always go to the Westfield mall because its a beautiful mall with wonderful shops. Some of my other favorites we went to are Zara, H&M, Gucci, and Tiffany’s.

Lastly, for those of you who haven’t seen Hamilton it was definitely worth the money and was an incredible show!
