First post of 2019

For my first post of 2019 I decided I wanted to reflect back on last year. What a year 2018 was. Full of ups, downs, happiness, sadness and eye opening experiences. What determines whether our year was good or bad? Is it the things we did or didn’t do. The amount of likes we got on our photos? How much we worked out? The people we met good or bad? Or that we took the time to truly love the people and things around us. In 2018 my mom became 1 year cancer free, I got to travel with my family, experience many summer camps outside of my comfort zone, reached many milestones while blogging, started my senior year, woke up for 365 days in a row and knew that God was good, and so much more.

What did I take away the most from 2018 though? Development, growth, learning, these 3 words are words I continue to think of when I think back on my year. The past year helped me to learn and grow as a person. It taught me that asking for help is ok. It taught me how to love people even when I really didn’t want to, that removing negative people from your life is ok. That getting a F on a test isn’t the end of the world. That letting people control your actions is never ok and that no matter the amount of mistakes you make or how far you run, God will still be there for you. Because of his unfailing love. This was the most important thing I learned. God loves me and you and your best friend, your mom, your dad, your worst enemy so much that he’ll always chase after you over and over again. No matter what day or year it is, no matter what you’re going through. It took me 18 years to realize this. So no matter what your circumstances are going into 2019 good, bad, exciting, or scary, just know that you are loved beyond what you can imagine. God is good and He loves you so much.
